Boost Mobile RockCorps Concert Rocks ATL’s Fox Theatre!

After nine weeks, 56 projects, and 13,600 hours of volunteer work, the Boost Mobile Rock Corps campaign in Atlanta culminated last Friday with a final project that ended only five hours before Young Jeezy, Big Boi, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Lil Wayne, Lil John, Keyshia Cole and The Game rocked the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. More than 13,000 people registered to become BMRC volunteers, but it was a lucky few–only 3,400 young people who made history in Atlanta! Join the movement and see the latest photos and video highlights of the show at BoostMobileRockCorps.com !

More than a hundred volunteers braved the stifling heat Friday to be a part of the final BMRC project and help refurbish the Atlanta New Century School (ANCS). Nick Cannon, host of the BMRC Atlanta concert, made a surprise appearance at the project to personally thank the volunteers for giving their personal time to the community.

Following the final project, months of preparation came to fruition at 6:30 pm when the doors to the Fox Theatre admitted the three thousand plus volunteers who had given their time cleaning up the communities in which they live. Tickets to this concert were not available for purchase, nor could you win your way in. Entry was given only to those who earned their tickets through giving four hours of volunteer time.

MTV2 Sucker Free will feature BMRC artists Big Boi, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and The Game as hosts. Each artist will recount various portions of the Atlanta concert and speak about BMRC. Sucker Free airs Mon-Fri at 6pm & 10pm ET. Make sure you check it out for video clips and interviews from the concert. Stay tuned for more information on Sucker Free Sunday and this week’s host, Paul Wall.
